Privacy & Student Data

Last updated: September 10, 2026

The Game Room and The Arcade are built by a classroom teacher, and student privacy is designed in from the start. This page explains exactly what is and isn't collected, in plain language.

Students never provide

What students do provide

To join their teacher's classroom, a student enters the teacher's class code and picks a class period, a first name (or nickname — whatever the teacher allows), a cartoon avatar, and a private picture password used to reclaim their player card.

What the Arcade stores while they play

This exists so progress and tickets follow the student between games and class days, and so their teacher's reports work. It is tied to that teacher's classroom and visible to that teacher.

Student names stay in the classroom

Class records show first names only within the student's own class. World records shown to other classrooms display an initial — never a student's name.

What we don't do

Teacher controls

Teachers manage their own roster: rename, merge, or remove player cards, adjust or wipe tickets, and reset a student's picture password. Removing a player card deletes it.

Teacher accounts

Teacher accounts use an email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash). Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store card numbers.

Where data lives

The service runs on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Data is retained while the teacher's account is active; teachers can request deletion at any time.

Questions or deletion requests

Email lauren@laurenfultonmath.com — requests from teachers or school technology departments are answered by an actual human (the teacher who built this).
