How do I type math symbols, exponents and fractions?

Click into a question or answer box and use the Insert bar, or type shortcuts such as x^2 and <=.

Click into a question or answer box, then click the symbol you want in the Insert bar (×, ÷, ≤, π, √ and more). a⁄b builds any fraction.

Shortcuts work too:

  • Type x^2 to get x².
  • Type <= or >= to get ≤ or ≥.
